This extremely unique project was brought to me via a good friend who worked with Jim and was made aware of some problems with his current developer and asked if I could help out at short notice. After contacting Jim I heard about his incredible endeavour;
With no prior rowing experience, Jim Phelan has dreamt of solo rowing the Atlantic Ocean for 13 years and has finally mustered the courage to get on board.
“I am attempting to row 3,000 miles solo across the Atlantic Ocean to support Team Felix, which is a partner fund of Duchenne UK. I have seen first-hand the devastation this condition causes to the kids and their families who suffer with Duchenne, with a personal friend’s son Felix being diagnosed in 2013.”
Jim sent across to me as much media as he could from the original site he was planning which I worked with and designed the entire site around a key image and made sure that people realised the extreme effort Jim was undertaking for the charity as he embarked on his 90 day, 3000 mile long adventure.
It was great working with Jim, really great guy who made such a huge personal sacrifice and raised over £40,000.00 for the charity End Duchenne.
